Well this last week we got to go visit Gramps. Hailey kept slamming
the doors to his closet but he didn't seem to mind. I was running
through the tricks that Hailey does, like blowing kisses, saying uh-oh,
saying mama and Dada and stuff like that, with gramps and he was doing
it all right along with her, i thought it was cute. Then today he told
me and scott that it's good to be back on american soil because he knew
that he'd get better medical care. We thought it was kinda funny but he
has been talking better then he was before. He also asked Scott if he
would come visit him tomorrow, it was cute the way he asked. Another
little funny thing was that he was being snippy with Nana, he told her
NOT RIGHT NOW in a very stern voice when she was trying to get him to
eat.
This weekend we got a little 13 in deep pool for Hailey and josh
blew it up and all three of us got in it. It was tiny. It was kinda
funny I wish we could have taken a picture. Hailey LOVES everything
that involves water, including the hose, the sink, tub, pool, mud, water fountain, it's pretty cute. Even if I turn on the sink for a second to
wash off grapes she wants to hold a grape and hold it under the water.

Gramps passed away on 6/6/08. A part of me feels like it would be super tough to see him the way
he was right before he died from when you last saw him 2 years ago
because he was not like himself at all. He didn't talk much, he laid
around and was super tired all the time. Most of the time when he did
talk it was mumbling. He had pretty much stopped eating and had gotten
so skinny! Most the time when I visited him I felt like it pretty much
didn't matter or he didn't even know if I was there or not. Even if I
went out of my way to talk to him and try to have an extended
conversation. He really wasn't much like himself. He's definitely in a
better place because he couldn't really enjoy life in his old body
anymore. It's so wonderful that we have the gospel!
I'm gonna give you a little Hailey update, lately she has just
been talking a ton. It's mostly mumbling or gibberish. Like,
"laralalalala, malerlala, laralarla, lalalarala," That what she says.
Something like that! We recently got her a baby stroller and she
totally loves it, she pushes it around all the time. I don't think she
could get tired of it! She was getting mad today when she kept bumping
into walls and other obstacles like our shoes or whatever! She's so
funny! I love her more and more all the time!! We are planning your
party, I'm super excited!!

Karl,
I can't wait for you to get to see Hailey in real life, she's so
cute your gonna love her!! She's just learning new stuff all the time!
She has started saying shoes, and she can pound it or bumb knuckles! I
got you some yummy treats for when you get home and we are planning
your party for Friday June 27 from 6-8 so I think that will be alot of
fun! Well this last week we attended gramps funeral and it was sad but I
think that it was alot more sad at randy's funeral partly because
Randy's death was untimely, he was still very young. Gramps had lived a
long life and I think that the way the he died would be a good way to
go. I would like to live into my 80's. It was nice to get to see some
of the cousins.
WOW I'm so excited to see you I can barely stand it! I can't
believe that 2 yrs has come and gone!!! Keep up the good work! I'm
sure that there is still alot you can do in a week! I love you so much!
